The University of Pittsburgh is conducting a research study to examine how sleep impacts cognition and the development of Alzheimer’s disease. You may be eligible if you are 65 to 85 years old and:
- Have difficulty staying asleep
- Have not had a traumatic brain injury
- Do not take psychiatric medication
- Do not abuse drugs or alcohol
The study involves 2 daytime and 2 overnight visits. One daytime visit will include a PiB PET/CT scan. Each overnight visit will include a sleep study, paper and computer cognitive tasks, a blood draw, and a 45-minute MRI scan.
Participants will be compensated. This is a research study and will not provide you with clinical treatment.
